The CONE POINT dresser contains a fine elongated diamond cut to a conical point. The included angle of the cone is cut to any angle specified, usually 60, 75 or 90 degrees, and is measured and checked by accurate measuring devices.
The included angle of the cone should be as large as possible for maximum point life. An included angle sharper than 60 degrees weakens the diamond so that the tool is of very little practical use.
